Killer Whales, aka Orcas, are actually not whales -- they are the largest member of the dolphin family. • Spanish whalers originally called Orcas "whale killers" because they hunted larger whales. Killer Whales (Orcas) generally prey on squid, shark, penguins, otters, sea lions, birds, octopi, dolphins and salmon. Killer whales (Orcas) can travel at speeds up to 26 knots - 30 mph.

The Beginning of the U.S. Bike Route 10 begins here in Washington Park, Anacortes, Washington.
There are both hiking paths and walking paths.
Rail-trail trestles let you walk or ride your bike on water (sort of)...
Riding a bicycle from our location (Tiny House Hope Cottage) to the Washington Park in Anacortes will take just a little more than an hour by bicycle. This route will take you across the water over the old train trestle, which has been converted to a beautiful bike and walking path. The Tommy Thompson trail in Anacortes uses an old rail trestles to get you across the water.
